Ok, as the competition prizes are often forum icons and signatures to use on your account I figured I should probably post a little tutorial on how to actual add them to your profile.
So, first, head to your profile. You can find the link on the top taskbar inbetween Admin and Messages. Then head to Edit Profile (button on the top left).
Icon options come under the 'Avatar' tab. If you want, you can edit an avatar with the forum hosts, just select the 'Default Avatar' option and scroll down to make the changes. To upload your own, select the 'uploaded/linked' option, then scroll down and click 'upload/link' to choose an image (you can upload one from your computer, or insert the link from one found on a website. It's better if you save an image you like and upload it from your computer as the file could be deleted on other websites). Icons look their best when they are 150px by 150px.
Signature options can be found under the 'Personal' tab. In the box under 'Most Recent Status' is the Signature box. To add an image to your signature, upload the image to tinypic or some such image hosting website, copy the direct link for the image and add![]()
LINK HERE[/IMG ] around it, and remove the spaces. I always make my signatures a maximum of 460px wide so they don't stretch the page. You can also add text and format the text in this box. If you want to bold your text, or centre the image, just use the codes you would use on the forum posts! ie. open a reply on the forum, type and format your text and select the BBCode tab underneath it. Then copy and paste it into the signature box.
